Super honoured to be profiled in the March 2019 edition of Chickadee Magazine by Owl Kids. I recreated a scene from the Secret World of Og, which I’d done as a book report in elementary school. Book report covers were my “thang”.
What fun! I had the pleasure to create the full and fabulous activity maps for Usborne Publishing. The books just came out and are on sale!

Love the Chirp commissions! Busy crowded colour, coming up. Suits my maximalist sensibilities just fine.
Creative direction by Faith Cochran / Published March 2018
A little bit of personal work for the SCBWI Draw This Challenge for the topic 'Wild'.
Here is the final published Puzzle Spread Illustration for the March edition of Chickadee/ Owl Kids!
(It is possible that these two wandered into the scene... ;) )
Final published piece for the January/February 2017 issue of Chirp Magazine (Owl Kids). Poem written by Bowman Wilker. Creative direction by Faith Cochran. See the original illustrations in my portfolio.
Getting some time to do some personal work, but love prompts!
I hope everyone is having a great Spring Break! Here is my first illustration for Chickadee Magazine (Owl Kids). It's a board game chock-full of fun suggestions of how to pass the time.
Hope y'all are having a great time with friends and family!
Well happy belated New Year! (Can a new year greetings be belated, if you're still in it?)
Happy January 11th!
Got the family together to create for Illustration Friday. Our time limit - 1 hour. Our topic: Nefarious. (Which kinda just translated to "Bad Guys".)
Nailed it. (A pink spider with a poor choice of hat always does...)
Here is my 4th cover from a project at work (in progress).
The adventurers have traveled to the future...
Another cover in progress for a fun series that I'm working on.
I've been lucky enough to be shortlisted in the Ecotjot sketchbook cover competition (say that 10 times fast.)
There are 11 other great designs to choose from if you'd like to take a gander. If you'd like to vote for my design - click here! "Liking", commenting and sharing all count in the voting process, so thanks for your support! Voting ends April 20.
My happy design is inspired by the diverse shapes and colours of the trees currently blooming and flowering in my lush rainforest "backyard". Leaves on trees, flowers on leaves, moss on bark and the cacophony of wildlife thriving among it - this is the time of year when there is growth upon growth.
Thanks again! Great to be considered :)
Currently on the desktop at the day job. Stay tuned for the full series!
